Actually, Padrinho Jonas made his initiation in Alto Santo. He had a brother, Dirceu, who met the Daime before him. Both were partners and sold goods, all kinds of products, throughout the small cities in the countryside of Brazil. They would jump in a truck and deliver goods throughout the cities, at the end of the 60s and beginning of 70s.

Padrinho Jonas was from Anápolis - GO. It was in one of these business trips that his brother met the Daime in Alto Santo. Just after, they both went there so that Padrinho Jonas could drink the Daime as well. This happened 6 months after Mestre Irineu’s passage. They would travel 1900 miles to drink Daime. There is even a very interesting story that happened with Dirceu in one of these trips to Alto Santo, which was the following: It has always been a habit, after Mestre's passage, either at that time and nowadays, to leave empty the chair of Mestre at the table. In one of those works Dirceu was very tired and when he saw that empty chair at the table he had no doubts. He sat there and remained until almost the end of the work. Nobody said anything, but the leader (probably Leôncio, that at that time was who had received this incumbency), when the work was about to be closed, said that the chair that was empty at the table was the old chair that Mestre used when he was alive, and that it was a house tradition to leave it empty in a sign of respect and reverence to the one that had been the guide to all for so many years. Thus, when he saw someone sat there, he got very upset. He thought about asking the person [in this case Dirceu] to leave the seat, but when he was about to do it Mestre came to him in the miração and said,

"Isn’t mine the chair? Well then, if it is mine I am the one to say who can and who can't sit there. And he can!"

With this testimony and with this demonstration of humility the leader then closed the night’s work. Dirceu took the Daime for only two, maybe three times and made his passage soon after. But Padrinho Jonas continued attending Alto Santo and became a close friend of Padrinho Sebastião.

In year of 1972 Padrinho Sebastião gave him some litters of Daime so that Padrinho Jonas could take it to his house in Anápolis. He didn’t have the pretension of doing a church in Goiás but he just wanted to share with his family that so fantastic drink. Then, the first work that he did was in his house, with his family, when he presented the Daime to his children, still young. Since then, in his trips to Acre, Padrinho Sebastião supplied him some liters so that he could continue his works, always at home. This happened during the whole 70s and 80s, until when he moved to São Paulo.

At the end of the 80s, when he was still doing his works at home, he noticed that they were so many people who were interested in knowing the Daime that there wasn’t enough space anymore. It was necessary a bigger space in order to receive the people. Until this moment he was not even a fardado. In this way the Núcleo Flor de Luz (Flower of Light Nucleus) was started. At this point there were no more conditions to conduct the works without being a fardado, so Padrinho Jonas went to Mapiá with his children so that they could be fardados by Padrinho Alfredo.

Giving continuity to it, at the end of 1991, this group rented a salon in Morumbi's District, in São Paulo, and initiated a new stage. The first fardamento held there was in January 1992, when Padrinho Alfredo did his first trip to São Paulo, after Padrinho Sebastião’s passage, to visit the two existing points of Daime, the Flor de Luz and the Flor das Águas. From these two points were originated all the state churches and some outside the state as well.
