Padrinho singing hinário

Photo taken by Marco Imperial, portraying Padrinho’s community gathered in Mapiá. From left to right, playing: Roberto Corrente, Padrinho Sebastião, Viegas (a great brother), the other at the end of the bench is Raul (one of the three from the Saint John is on Earth’s hymn history*), the daughter of Regina (dressed in white skirt and pink shirt), Regina, Rosa and Madrinha Cristina’s daughter (standing), Alfredo, Nonata (sat down) and Raimundinha Corrente (standing).

*Soon after the arrival of Raul, Cristiano and Xavier, who, if I am not mistaken, were Chilean, Padrinho received the hymn that tells “When you hear that Saint John is on earth it’s a signal of war everywhere / beyond a doubt Saint Peter arrived with his two brothers”. And thence they were treated as such. They told that Saint Peter was Xavier, but then the three of them started to cause many problems and Xavier went away, staying Cristiano and Raul, who moved to live in the border of Brazil with Bolivia, in Brasiléia. They came fleeing from the dictatorship regime in Chile. Padrinho sheltered a lot of South Americans running away from their torture regimes. Cristiano played flute and would give that Andean tone to the works (Marco Imperial).
