Raimundo Irineu Serra and Guiomar dos Santos.

Fontenele Castro was responsible for presenting to the then governor of Acre, Guiomar dos Santos, the spiritual leader of the community that would later be known as Alto Santo. “Since then was established a partnership, a friendship between them that would last for the rest of life, between Mestre Raimundo Irineu Serra and Guiomar dos Santos, who was governor and then congressman and author of the bill that created the state of Acre -- elevating Acre to the condition of a state -- and then being Senator of the Republic. When Guiomar came to Acre, then living in Brasilia, he would stay at the house of Mestre, staying there days and nights, and they talked, being great friends, doing many things together”, said Antonio Alves, a journalist from Acre.
